Our school has high expectations of attendance, and we are proud of consistently high rates across our school and over time. These rates ensure that children access their learning and make good progress as a result.
Whilst pupil attendance is a strength of our school, I wanted to explain some of the reasons why punctuality is also very important to all learners.
Firstly, children arriving late causes disruption to the work of our administration team in the front office. Typically, the time from 8.50 until 9.10 is one of the busiest in the office and when children arrive late, this work is disrupted. Any disruption to work in school may have a knock-on effect to learning.
Secondly, the start of the day is typically used for practise of basic skills in maths in most classes. This input has a significant impact on academic standards for our children in maths and children who arrive late either miss this, or at best don’t have the same amount of time to practise these essential skills.
Finally, although there are other reasons we should value attendance that I could articulate, the learning of other children in class can be disadvantaged by late coming children, as teaching staff may need to go over learning input that has been missed rather than continuing to teach the lesson.
Whilst we fully appreciate that there may be occasions when children may be late, I would respectfully ask that all pupils arrive no later than 8.55 in order to access their full curriculum of learning.
We are monitoring punctuality closely in Term 4 and will be arranging meetings with parents where children are consistently late to identify any support we can give to allow children to attend punctually each day.
Dear Parents,
World Book Day will be celebrated on Thursday 5th March 2026 and this year we are asking you to come dressed in bright colours (non-school uniform).
On the day, we will all share the same book across the whole school and then take part in different activities based on this. We can’t wait to reveal which book it is on Thursday 5th March!
In the meantime, we will be sending World Book Day tokens home this week, why not spend your book token on one of the new books shown below.
If you have any questions, please speak to your child’s class teacher.
Yours sincerely,
Miss Jones
We are changing our Management Information System in the next few weeks and have had to make some changes to the way some of our parent details are listed to ensure a smooth transfer. This may result in an email from Parent mail asking you to verify your details. This will show as a notification when you enter the Parent Mail App. Please confirm your details as soon as possible to continue receiving communication from the school. If you have any issue please contact

Our school raised £205 for Children In Need and £191.46 for the Royal British Legion from the sale of poppy items.
Thank you very much for your donations.
As you may already know, Monday 10th November is the start of this year’s BBC Children in Need Appeal Week. Our school is excited to be joining in with others around the UK to participate in fundraising for this good cause.
On Friday the 14th of November, we will be dressing in spotty/ Children in Need themed clothes/ fancy dress /superhero outfits / general non-uniform, for a donation of your choice, towards Children in Need. Please send your donation into school with your child in a sealed envelope.
This year’s theme is ‘Challenge 25’, in celebration of 25 years of Children in Need. Throughout the week, each class will be working on their own ‘Challenge 25’, where they will achieve 25 of something by the end of the week.
As part of the fundraising event this year, we will also be able to join a live-streamed event on BBC Joe Wicks and some other famous faces.
Let’s make a big difference to the lives of children in the UK.
Thank you for your continued support.

All proceeds from our Charity Football Match evening will be donated to Jamie's Legacy which aims to support children in Uganda. As you will hopefully know, Jamie was a former pupil of our school who sadly passed away at the age of 16.
If you are able to, please come along to support us on 7th in order to support his legacy. There will be a raffle and you could win a signed Lincoln City Football Club shirt.
Jamie’s Legacy enables vulnerable children in Uganda, many of whom are orphans, to return to school and participate in sport. The school sponsors the education of Niiwa and we have some information and photographs of her in the main reception entrance to school.
Jamie’s Library is being set up for the children in Uganda and Jamie’s parents have asked if anyone has any books that they no longer need, that could be donated for the library. These will help the children to better understand the English language. Please note that the books should be lightweight, as they need to be shipped to Uganda. If you have any suitable books, please can you bring them to school and put them in the Friends of the School grey box inside the main reception entrance. They will be collected by Jamie’s parents after the Charity Football Match.
Thank you for your support.
On Red Nose Day the whole school came in red/silly clothing or non-uniform to raise money for Comic Relief, and we also had a Bake-off competition. Lots of the children baked a range of treats at home including: cookies, cupcakes, brownies and crispy cakes, many of which had a Red Nose Day theme. These were then sold at break time to raise money for Comic Relief and they were absolutely delicious! Mrs Hill had the incredibly difficult task of judging so many amazing bakes and our winning bakers for each class were: Reception/Year 1 – Charlie, Year 1/2 – Edison, Year 3 – Millie, Year 4 – Luke, Year 5 – Ethan, Year 6 – Rosabella. Well done to you all and thank you to all of our brilliant bakers who helped us raise £278.30 for such an important cause.
