We have a link with St Paul’s Missionary College in Malta. This link started with a Comenius Project in 2012 whereby two teachers from South Hykeham visited Attard School in Malta; the teacher we were developing a link with subsequently moved to St Paul’s and has visited our school in April 2013. In the academic year 2013 – 2014 our Year 4 / 5 class worked on a blog with the pupils of St Paul’s and we were delighted when 24 pupils visited us in June 2014. During this visit we went to Whisby Nature Park and the National Space Centre in Leicester as well as having several social events. A similar and equally successful visit took place in June 2015 and in June 2017. We are hoping to have another visit in 2019.
We are also developing a link with a school in Kenya and have recently been fundraising by collecting spare coins to support the school's installation of a water supply.
Both links have developed our children's understanding of life in different countries and cultures and the similarities and differences in how we live.
