Information about Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Provision
At South Hykeham Primary School, we are a small school with a big heart, where every child is known, valued and supported as an individual. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where all children feel they belong, are able to participate fully and are encouraged to achieve their potential.
We work closely with children, parents and carers to identify needs early, understand individual strengths and reduce barriers to learning, participation and wellbeing. Our approach is based on high expectations for every child and the graduated approach of Assess, Plan, Do and Review.
All staff play an important role in supporting children with SEND, with provision overseen by our SENDCo, Miss Amy Jones. Where appropriate, we work with specialist professionals to ensure that support is well matched to individual needs and regularly reviewed.
Our aim is simple: to know every child, understand what they need and help them thrive.
